In a very much unfortunate turn of events, my grandmother's house in Osaka was burned down last December. With it, my grandfather's funeral alter, all of his poetry, my grandmother's old clothing, files, works, and antiques, my mother and uncles' stuff still stored there, clothing, documents, diplomas, and whatnot, were burned to ashes. All of my mother's young photos, gone.
My grandmother passed away almost a decade ago. My uncle owns the land and what used to be a six unit apartment building (Though four of the six were being used by my mom's side of the family).
They found the arsonist. It was a bitch to find out, and I'm kinda sorry I found out.
22 year old Kameyama Yusuke of Ryukoku Buddhist University. I see. Well, looks like I know the name and face of an arsonist.
He burned the building down because a 15 year old girl he met online three years ago refused to see him again after he left a letter in her bike basket. Her mother forbade her from seeing her, and he threw a fit. His only recourse was to threaten her friends and family and set her home on fire... twice.
This unbelievable drama of stupidity ended with his arrest, but I want to know, why is that girl talking to a guy 7 years her senior? You mean to say, my childhood memories were burnt down by a pedophile? This has to be some kind of symbolic meaning to this.
I remember that girl that moved in. She was living with her mother, their father unknown. She was dumb as a brick if I recall. She splashed water from the balcony above while my mother was drying the laundry. I always never liked her too much. As a result of her living there, my grandmother's house was burned down.
I'll go to Japan this autumn, and go find these people. I'll talk to them, and demand from these little fucks some justice. I'm sure they'll make an interesting article, to say the least.
